There are many types of baking goods, each with its own unique properties and uses. Here are some of the most common types:

Baking powder is a dry powder made from two or more ingredients, such as soda, lime, and ammonium bicarbonate. When mixed with water, it reacts to produce carbon dioxide and heat. This combination causes bread and other baked goods to rise and be fluffy. Baking powder can also be used to make cakes and other desserts that do not require rising times.

Bread flour is the main type of flour used in baking doughs. It's made from finely ground whole-wheat flour that has had most of the bran and germ removed. This makes bread dough more elastic and gives it a chewy texture. Bread flour can also be enriched with niacin, thiamin, or riboflavin, which gives it a yellow color and other nutritional benefits.

Baking soda is also a dry powder made from two or more ingredients. It's often combined with bicarbonate of soda (also known as baking powder) to create a paste that can be applied to bread dough before it's baked.
